Living with Little Roo

Well, I gues sI havn't posted in awhile, nothing really new to post on Roo, she's doing fun, her stitches are out, her tummy fur is growning back, the insision has healed well, she's as hyper as ever. She starts puppy school in a few days, I'll tell you how that goes. Until then I guess there isn't much to say, right now she's out sleeping at gramps feet.

We signed Roo up for Puppy Training today, now before you say anything under your breath, yes you, I can hear it. This is not for bad dogs, this is to teach people how to deal with their dogs so they can understand them better. And I think that's just what it will be, it shows us how to train our Little Roo just right and how to make sure to keep her safe. There was a puppy just like her there, Abbey, and she was the demo dog, the trainer showed us how she would teach our dogs on this little dog. Yorkshire Terrier is what she was, and she was 3 pounds, we think that it's what Roo is, but she is the Silky type, I dunno, it means bigger in some way.

We're over at my grandparents today, and this is one of Roo's favourite places. She thinks she owns the place because she stayed here for the 16 days we were gone to Europe. She came inside and quickly ran around everywhere making sure nothing was out of place. Then when she saw Gran she started to jump up and down and go crazy. Having to calm her down was hard, but she just can't be like this with her stitches. On Monday we can start to take her on walks again, should help her to calm down a bit. Gran had a present for Roo, a real bone with the marrow still inside, she ate the marrow within 10 minutes, and is still nibbling away at the bone. Should keep her busy for awhile and make her leave her stitches alone!

Little Roo is sleeping at my feet so I have to type quietly, her cut isn't as swollen anymore, I think it's cause she hasn't been moving around too much. I am now proud to say that she is completly house trained! She can go for up to 8 hours without having to go pee, and when she does need to go out she'll whine at the door, it's great. Well she's up and awake now, finishing off my bowl of Cheerios, gone to grab camera! Expect new photos soon!

Well, little Roo just got spayed two days ago, she's doing fine, but she can't jump off the bed like she used to. She'll jump on, oh yes, but then get's scared and I have to go carry her off. Plus she keeps licking her stitches and I'm scared she's gonna get them wet and they'll come out, so we watch her closely and discourage her of doing that. Right now she's at my feet chewing on a pencil, just to keep her mind off of the incision. It's funny, because she'll be walking around then she'll randomly sit. It's like it hurts too much for her to have her tummy hanging for too long.
